What is Solitaire?
Solitaire is a game of patience or success which, as the name suggests , is played solo!
The board of this deck of cards is made up of three very distinct spaces:
the "board ", with 28 cards distributed on 7 columns of increasing sizes. The 1st column contains 1 card, the second column 2 cards, the third column 3 cards, etc ... until the last column which contains 7 cards. At the start of the game, only the top card is face up.
la "reserve" (also called the "draw pile" or the "shoe") where the remaining 24 cards of the game are stacked face down.
the "foundations " made up of 4 free cells when begins the solitaire.
What is the interest of the Solitaire?
The purpose of the solitaire is to fill the 4 foundations with suites of ascending cards (aces, two, three, four, five, six, seven, hu it, nine, ten, valet, lady and king) and from the same family (clover, spades, diamonds or hearts).
How does a game of Solitaire take place?
Solitaire is played with a deck of 52 traditional cards.
- on the columns of the table, create descending sequences of cards (king, lady, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, ace) by alternating colors (red or black: the family of cards does not matter here ).
- on the free cells of the table, you can only place kings.
- you can move descending sequences of several cards on another column of the table, or move an entire column.
when useful, you can take a card from one of the 4 foundations, and place it on the board.
draw a card from the reserve if there is no more movement possible on the board.
